SKYTUBES - Brings Daylight Into Rooms

The Skytube is the highest performing tubular skylight of its kind on the market. Using reflective tubing to channel daylight from the roof, through the attic to the room below. Designed with the home handyman in mind, Skytube is easy to install and requires no structural roof changes. Specifically designed with energy efficiency in mind, Skytube has raised the bar, delivering the ultimate in cool daylight performance. Skytube provides the perfect solution for dark rooms where a traditional skylight size is unwarranted; they are also ideal for larger rooms which demand task lighting. You can now enjoy quality daylight hours from early morning to late afternoon.

How it Works?

A 240mm diameter Silver Tube is used to maximise light transmission. This fits neatly between the timbers in the attic but still provides enough light to illuminate the entire room. The top of the tube fits into a Variable Pitch Adaptor (VPA) which means that the tube may also be angled to the South to make the most of winter sunshine. A Skytube will illuminate a room 2.4m x 2.4m as the sole source of natural daylight. If used in a corridor a Skytube will light up approximately 3.5 metres of corridor (assuming a width of not more than 1.2 metres).

Suitability

The Skytube is available with a choice of flashings for slate or tiled roofs, The unique Variable Pitch Adaptor enables flashings to be used on any roof with a slope between 0 and 45 degrees.

Installation

The Skytube is easy to install. Moulded flashings are designed to suit specific roof types, facilitating ease of installation and most of all watertightness. Allow approximately 3 hours for fitting to a tiled roof and 3.5 hours to a slate roof. The Skytube can also be fitted by our recommended installer in your area.
