Prismatics was established in 1996 by Jan & Oisin Humphreys. Having lived in Australia for a number of years they were aware of a number of innovative lighting solutions readily available in the market there. On their return they saw a niche in the market for some of these innovations here.

Based in Bandon, County Cork, Prismatics are now the sole importer and distributor for Skytubes TM and IXL Tastics TM.

The first shipment of Skytubes arrived in Ireland in May 1996 and was sold out by August. Skytubes have continued to be a popular choice for many builders and renovators and are now a standard feature in many Irish homes. We are committed to supplying the best tubular Skylights in the country. We work closely with a team of professional installers who are happy to deliver and install Skytubes in many locations throughout Ireland - from large scale developments to private homes.

We approached Backwell IXL in Australia in 1996, with a view to importing their bathroom heaters, having spent three years developing and modifying the Australian version of the Tastic in conjunction with IXL so that it would meet Irish building regulations, the first Tastic went on sale here in Tubs and Tiles in March 2000. The Irish version of the Tastic, which carries the CE mark and is RoHS compliant has been designed to cope with Irish conditions.
